CDIC flippin' fun summer game. Play today! We're giving away. $10,000 in prizes!
Play CDIC Flippin’ Fun summer game from July 5 – August 16, 2021!

This summer, the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) is joining forces with organizations across Canada to help raise awareness about the importance of federal deposit protection.

As part of CDIC’s public awareness program, we are always looking for fun and engaging educational ways to work in collaboration with different partners, to help Canadians understand how they are covered by CDIC and to challenge their financial knowledge.

Here’s how CDIC is reaching out this summer:

  • We were Co-Presenting Sponsor of the Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival’s Social Distance Competition Pow Wow 2021 in June
  • We are launching a new financial literacy game called CDIC’s Flippin’ Fun Summer Game in July
  • We are partnering with a variety of influencers to reach different audiences
  • We are partnering with the CFL to promote CDIC and federal deposit protection across Canada

Social Distance Competition Pow Wow 2021

During National Indigenous History Month in June, we were proud to be the Co-Presenting Sponsor of the Summer Solstice Festival’s Social Distance Competition Pow Wow 2021. We enjoyed seeing all the talented traditional performers from across Canada.

CDIC’s Flippin’ Fun Summer Game

We’re so excited to share that our NEW financial literacy game is coming soon! Play CDIC Flippin’ Fun summer game from July 5 – August 16, 2021! It’s an informative online game that invites players to compete for prizes. In order to earn entries, players are encouraged to answer questions about CDIC’s deposit protection, watch videos on how CDIC protects their savings, and follow CDIC on social media to stay informed about our deposit insurance categories, member institutions and coverage rules.

Influencer Partnerships

CDIC often collaborates with trusted personal finance and lifestyle influencers to support its public awareness initiatives. Deposit protection can be a complicated topic and using influencers to promote CDIC helps us provide more details about how coverage works than we can cover in a 30 second ad.

This summer, CDIC has joined forces with a variety of influencers to reach out to more Canadians. Who knows, maybe somebody you follow will cover us!

CFL Partnership

CDIC is excited to partner with the Canadian Football League (CFL) to engage with football fans across the country after a long year with no games.

This year, we are excited to be presenting a special Waggle podcast series called Game Changers to celebrate people who have excelled in the CFL while breaking down barriers around diversity and inclusion.

At CDIC, we understand the role that public awareness plays in building confidence and trust in our financial system. CDIC encourages Canadians to take advantage of the resources it offers to learn more about its free and government-backed deposit protection.

To learn more about our public awareness initiatives or to partner with CDIC, please contact Kristi Henry at khenry@cdic.ca.
