The Board of Directors of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) is pleased to announce that its 2016-2017 Annual Public Meeting will be broadcast as a free live webcast on February 8, 2017.
To commemorate CDIC’s 50th anniversary year, the meeting will be held as a panel discussion that will include multi-generational views on the importance of deposit protection for Canadians.
Michèle Bourque, President and CEO of CDIC, together with Lucie Tedesco, Commissioner, Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, will welcome a Millennial, a Gen-Xer and a Baby Boomer to discuss what their savings mean to them and answer their questions on deposit protection and other financial matters.
Members of the public are invited to participate and will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the panel.
