Dean A. Cosman

Senior Vice-President, Insurance and Risk Assessment

Mr. Cosman was appointed Senior Vice-President, Insurance and Risk Assessment in September 2015. In this executive role, he is responsible for monitoring emerging financial sector risks and protecting insured deposits in the event of a member failure.

Mr. Cosman brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience in Crown corporations to this role in increasingly senior roles at CDIC and Export Development Canada.

Previously, he served as Vice-President Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at CDIC.

Mr. Cosman holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, as well as a graduate of the Executive Development Program at Queen’s University.
