The Corporate Affairs Division comprises four main functions:
Communications and Public Affairs Department includes responsibility for external communications, public relations and linguistic services. It manages a multi-year public awareness program about deposit insurance,
CDIC's website and toll-free information line.
Human Resources manages and administers all aspects of CDIC’s people processes, including recruitment, succession planning, training and development, employee relations and compensation.
General Counsel and
Legal Services Department provide legal advice and support to the Corporation. This includes legal advice to support CDIC’s mandate-related functions, as well as CDIC’s operations. (The office of General Counsel is held by the Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and General Counsel.)
Corporate Secretariat supports the Board of Directors in carrying out its roles and responsibilities, and provides assistance to the Chairperson in ensuring the Board is organized properly, functions effectively and meets its obligations and responsibilities. The office of Corporate Secretary is held by the Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
