Survey on International Deposit Insurance Practices

In 2008, CDIC launched its second International Deposit Insurance Survey Questionnaire. The survey has achieved three main goals.

First, we designed the survey so we could gather information about deposit insurance systems around the world.

Second, we are sharing that information, so that policymakers and practitioners setting up or reforming their own systems can draw on the approaches other deposit insurers are using around the world.

And third, the survey provides a well of practitioner-based qualitative and quantitative data for researchers to draw on.
